Candlebrook Tales makes videos for quiet hours: Scripture read word for word from the King James Bible, the lives of people who met Jesus, classic books read slowly for sleep, and the history behind the stories.

The narration and pictures in our videos are made with AI tools and reviewed by hand, line by line and picture by picture. We check every Bible quotation against the King James text, and where a scene is imagined (such as Peter remembering his life), the video says so.

What we believe

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, and that it is one story from beginning to end, the story of Jesus Christ.

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). But "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8). He rose again the third day, and salvation is a free gift: "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God" (Ephesians 2:8).

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved" (Romans 10:9).
